The Aquaponics Association’s mission is to promote the benefits of aquaponics through education and outreach. To help us achieve our mission, the Aquaponics Association is offering micro grants of up to $1000 to our affiliated branches.
The goal of the Micro Grant Program is two-fold:
- To encourage members within each AA branch to work together and build community support in that area.
- To increase public awareness, understanding, and knowledge of aquaponics as an educational tool, a hobby, or a business in providing a source of fresh, local, healthy food.
Preference will be given to educational/outreach based activities that focus on developing aquaponics systems or a plan to move existing growing systems toward aquaponics. Members must apply with their Branch to request project funds. However, if a member is in an area where a branch doesn’t yet exist, that member can then apply through their region. Branches may submit up to two proposals per cycle. For more information and to apply, download the Micro Grant Application.
