We're accepting speaker proposals for the Annual Conference in San Jose through 7 July. If you have a presentation on cutting-edge advancements affecting aquaponics, we'd love to hear from you! The San Jose conference will focus on commercial aquaponics. We're also interested in great presentations on the basics of aquaponics, as we expect some attendees who are new to aquaponics despite their extensive experience in related industries. To submit your proposal, click here. There have been some changes to the AA executive Board and Advisory Board. Adam Cohen, our Vice Chair, resigned due to time constraints and has been replaced by David Rosenstein as Vice Chair pro Tem. We wish Adam all the best and look forward to David’s achievements. From the Advisory Board, Gina, JD, and Chris Schup have resigned and we wish them well in their future endeavors together. We are actively seeking new Advisory Board members with the following backgrounds and talents - legal, accounting, policies and procedures, not for profit, aquaculture, and soil-less growing. Please contact us if you are interested in volunteering to help the AA grow into the organization that leads the aquaponics industry.
Finally, we have invited NSF International to present a webinar on July 18th focused on food safety certification, what it means, and whether it makes sense for smaller farms. As the date gets closer, we will be providing more details on how you can participate in this webinar.
