Virtual Reality?
For the second year in a row, The Aquaponics Association canceled the in-person programing of its Annual Conference due to COVID. The 2021 in-person Conference was scheduled for the same weekend in Oklahoma City, OK. The 2021 Conference will now take place exclusively on the Hopin Virtual Events Platform.
The Association Board wondered if the Conference theme, “Together with Aquaponics”, was no longer appropriate once the Conference went virtual. With a virtual conference, folks would no longer be physically… “together”. But then they realized: if we can’t be together in-person, we can still be… Together with Aquaponics!”
Despite being 100% virtual, last year’s 2020 Cultivating the Future Virtual Conference was a smashing success with over 350+ in attendance, many sensational presentations, high energy, and guest socializing and interaction.
The Association aims to host its first in-person conference in 3 years in Fall, 2022. The Association will announce the date and location of the 2022 Conference at Sunday’s Conference Farewell Session.
