AgWorks at CCA (Commonwealth Charter Academy) has a physical location at their Capital Campus Family Service Center in Harrisburg, PA. The main facility showcases aquaponics along with other agriculturally-based learning systems such as hydroponics, aeroponics, tissue culture and biotechnology.

The AquaJack Mobile Lab is a fully functional, small-scale version of the system at the Capital Campus. This mobile classroom brings learning opportunities directly to students who may be unable to travel to their Capital Campus.

The AquaJack includes fish, water, LED lights, plants and hands-on lessons. Students perform water tests and label the different parts of the aquaponic system. Students can explore different careers that are connected to aquaponics while engaging in fun, interactive activities.

The lab is capable of connecting to the sensor system at the main Capital Campus Family Service Center, so students and community members can compare what is occurring at the main facility to what is occurring on the mobile lab.

The mobile lab is scheduled across the state at school districts, fairs, agriculture conferences and other events to spread awareness on controlled environment agriculture.

The AquaJack is 63 ft long, 9 ft wide, and 12 ft high. The Mobile Lab is free for local all Pennsylvania school districts and members of the community. To learn more, email inquiries to agworks@ccaeducate.me.

Sounds fun and educational!
