Student Presentation Proposals and Scholarships

The Aquaponics Association is proud to announce the inaugural Student Presentations Track for the 2021 OKC Aquaponics Conference! The Conference will be October 21-24, 2021 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Aquaponics is about the future, and we need our students involved!

This track is exclusively for high school (9th-12th grades) and collegiate (undergraduate and graduate) student presenters who will be enrolled in high school or college during the Fall of 2021. Students who present in this track are eligible to compete for scholarships.

Presentation proposals are due July 9, 2021.

Students may choose from either a live 15-minute (10 minute presenting and 5 minutes for answering questions) poster or general presentation format. Presentation topics must be related to aquaponics.

Students that are chosen to present may opt to be considered for scholarships. Presentations will be scored by a panel of judges using a rubric that will be provided to students upon acceptance of their proposal. Scholarship awards will be given for 1st-3rd place high school and college presenter in the following amounts: high school 1st - $200, 2nd -$150, 3rd - $100; and college 1st - $250, 2nd - $200, 3rd - $150.

All students and family are responsible for purchasing conference tickets and arranging their own room and travel. Student presenters are eligible for Early Bird Community Discount conference tickets of only $99 that include three days of meals and events.
