This year, just as every year, the Association Board is deluged with requests from amazing growers that would love to attend the annual conference but don’t have the financial means. With travel and lodging, even the $375 discount ticket can be out of reach.
But we need all growers represented to break down barriers and grow more of our food with aquaponics. These growers are on the front lines, often making a difference with aquaponics in the most difficult circumstances.
Therefore, we are seeking funders to sponsor an even more affordable set of tickets for STEM and Community growers.
|Ticket Type||Target Groups||Price|
|Full Ticket||Commercial and research growers||$475|
|STEM & Community Discount Ticket
|STEM teachers, students, and non-profits||$375|
|STEM & Community Scholarships||STEM and community growers that demonstrate financial need to attend the conference||Dependent on funding and demand|
We have five sponsorship levels:
Fingerling Funder $100
Fry Funder $250
Bronzino Sponsor $500
Silver Trout Sponsor $1,000
Grand Goldfish Sponsor $2,000
Platinum Orca Sponsor $5,000
The Association will identify and/or solicit STEM educators, students, and nonprofit growers that would like to attend the conference but cannot attend because of financial constraints.
OR – do you have a particular group of students or growers you’d like to sponsor? let us know, you can get credit as a sponsor for this too.
To participate, use the donate button below and fill in the desired amount.
Or email us at [email protected] if you have any questions.
All sponsors will be recognized in the conference program. Bronzino sponsors and greater will be recognized at the Saturday night banquet.
The Association Board will determine the value and number of scholarships available based on the demand for scholarships, funding received, financial need of applicants, and potential contribution of applicants to the conference program. All scholarships will be subject to a vote of the Association Board of Governors.
In the unlikely case that funds remain after scholarships are awarded, these funds will cover any 2018 conference losses. If funds still remain from this program once scholarships are awarded and the conference breaks even, they will be placed in a STEM / Community scholarship program for the 2019 Aquaponics Association Annual Conference.
A full public accounting of the scholarship program will be kept and made available upon request.
All scholarships are tax deductible for businesses as a commercial advertising expense.
